How it all started...
Calvary Baptist Church in Huntsville, Texas, was founded in 1938 by Pastor J.A. Hosea, along with 28 charter members who were dedicated to establishing a local church grounded in biblical teaching and fellowship.
Since then, Calvary has grown steadily while staying true to its mission of sharing the gospel and serving the Huntsville community. Over the years, generations of members have built on the foundation laid by Pastor Hosea and those early families, maintaining a strong commitment to preaching God’s Word, discipleship, and local and global missions.

Today, Calvary Baptist Church continues to be a place where people can gather to worship, learn, and serve together. We remain grateful for our past and focused on the future, as we seek to reach people with the message of Jesus Christ.
